Jem，原名 Jemma Griffiths，来自英国威尔斯。13 岁就开始创作并演唱，29 岁才发行了自己的处女专辑《Finally Woken》。这张混合了流行摇滚、古典民谣、电子音乐、世界音乐等元素的专辑很快风靡了全世界，在英国获得第六名的专辑已在排行榜上占据超过30周，并创下全英点播亚军曲“They”与冠军曲“Just A Ride”两首热门单曲。
被誉为“Dido II”的 Jem，声线和曲风跟 Dido 确实都非常相似，慵懒中透露着淡雅，空旷却又异常动人。但 Jem 始终不是 Dido，所以我们听到的就不仅仅是慵懒或空旷了。最初朋友 Asher 传给我的是 They [MV]，电台听了好多遍了，未知歌名未识歌手，调调太萎靡了，我不是很喜欢。不过搜索之下，发下了这首“24”，哈——喜欢！清爽干脆的前奏很引人入胜，紧接而来的摇滚节奏跌荡起伏，让你高潮一浪接一浪啊，哈哈！
这首 24，据说是《致命紫罗兰》的主题曲。其实，也许她的出名比我想像的来的还要强烈些，它还被莫文蔚翻唱为“24hrs”，收录于《如果没有你》。莫的唱功毋庸置疑滴，但跟原唱比起来总感觉稍逊，呵呵，可能是还没听习惯。另外那首萎靡的“They”也比菜一林翻唱为 Motorola 广告歌。（Afly）
