1998 年成军于加拿大蒙特利尔的 Simple Plan 乐队由五位成员组成，目前已经发表了两张专辑，销量均在百万张以上。2002年，首张纯流行朋克专辑《No Pad, No Helmets Just Balls》在欧美市场的几百万张的销量证明了他们并非等闲之辈。但 Simple Plan 没有冲昏头脑。
2004 年秋，由金牌摇滚制作人 Bob Rock（曾经为“金属”乐队等担任制作人）担当监制的专辑《Still Not Getting Any…》的面市充分见证了这五人组合的健康成长。这不再是张专辑纯粹的流行朋克专辑。其第一主打单曲“Welcome to my life”已经成为全球范围内的热门歌曲；“Shut up”则是生猛有力流行朋克，而“Untitled”则是一首动人的情歌。
Simple Plan 的情绪其实更多是来自经典朋克们那些永不磨灭的愤怒与青春冲动，激扬的鼓点、流畅的旋律、时髦的扮相、加上不俗的实力和杰出表现使他们成为一代城市少年主流的音乐消费目标。而从其主唱 Pierre Bouvier 被美国《明星》(PopStar)杂志评为2005年最性感的14个男人之一也可以看到 Simple Plan 未来的道路会更为多姿多彩。

值得一提的是，Simple Plan 在新专辑限量版本的封套设计上，依然保留了他们最纯真的幽默感，我们会看到五位乐队成员90岁时的相貌——简单而休闲的服饰，苍老但有神的面孔。这样的画面让人忍俊不禁的同时又会思考些什么。或许这就是Simple Plan的性情，一个个简单动听的音符背后，是一颗颗并不简单的心灵。
专辑中的首支单曲《Shut Up》开宗明义，依然是 Simple Plan 招牌式的流行朋克曲风。而像《Thank You》、《Jump》、《Promise》等作品更是带有第一张专辑的特色，一如既往的爽快有力。整张唱片中最值得称道的应该是像《Crazy》、《Perfect World》以及《Everytime》那样的中慢版歌曲，从精妙紧凑的器乐编配以及更具深度的睿智歌词中，我们能够看到一个逐渐成熟的Simple Plan。很显然，他们已经不再是一群只会在舞台上活蹦乱跳的毛头小子了。
